The composable Workspace

The Workspace is the app’s only page: tabs of panels that you arrange as you like. Your arrangement is saved and comes back at the next launch.

Tabs

• + › New tab opens the wizard: start from a layout or from a ready template (see The screen). + › Empty tab adds a blank one.
• Double-click a tab (or press F2) to rename it. The icons beside the name rename, duplicate (same widgets, same arrangement) and close it. The workspace always keeps at least one tab.
• Drag a tab to reorder it, or use Ctrl/⌘+←/→.
• The layout button next to the tabs changes how the open tab is split: your widgets move into the new panels, biggest first; if there are more widgets than panels, the extra ones share the smallest panel as tabs.

Adding a panel

There are three ways in, and all of them lead to the same widget library (categories Charts, Order flow, Options & GEX and Trading, with search and favourites):

• An empty panel asks What goes here?: a few quick buttons for the usual widgets, and Browse the library.
• The title menu of any panel (click its title): Change to one of the usual widgets, Choose from the library… or Empty this panel. The panel keeps its place; only its content changes.
• + › + Add widget: if the tab has an empty panel, the widget goes there. Otherwise the app asks where to put it: Top, Bottom, Left, Right or As a tab. Esc cancels.

The Account widget exists only once in the whole workspace.

Arranging panels

• Drag a panel by its header onto another one to split the space or to stack it as a tab; a placeholder shows where it will land.
• Minimize collapses a panel to its header bar, maximize lets it fill the tab, close removes it.

Windows

• Drag a tab or a panel and release it outside the window: it opens in a new window. Release it onto another window of the app to move it there.
• + › New window opens an empty window. + › Move tab to a new window does the same with the open tab, without dragging (when the window has more than one tab).
• Extra windows across monitors are a Pro feature; windows already open stay.
• Closing a secondary window asks for confirmation and removes it for good. To quit and keep every window, close the main window: they all come back at the next launch.

Link groups

The coloured dot in a panel’s header puts it in a link group. Panels in the same group share the symbol, the timeframe, the crosshair and the time range (scrolling and zoom); each of these can be switched off in the group’s menu. On a chart, Apply indicators to the group copies its indicators onto the other charts of the group, once. ✕ Unlink takes the panel out of the group.

Templates and files

• + › Save this tab… saves the open tab as a template; your templates are listed in the + menu and load as a new tab. Manage… renames or deletes them.
• Export this tab saves it to a file; Import a tab loads one, for example on another computer.

Tips

• Keep one tab for experiments: if you need to try something out on screen, use an ad-hoc tab and delete it afterwards.
• A chart’s settings open from the ⚙ in its header or from the right-click menu. Each indicator has its own ⚙ in the chart legend, with its settings organised into tabs by group, so the lists stay short.
